Also known as Jack. Skipper
of the Boomie 'Ada-Gane'. He lived in the block of three cottages
where 'Kedge Cottage' is now. His toilet which was on the other
side of the lane in Mr Rose's garden was known as 'Crippys Privvy'. |

The boomie 'Ada-Gane
was built by Vaux of Harwich in 1882 for 1,700 pounds, and had
paid for herself within 4 years. |

Jack Crisp was
a very clever sailor, he used to sail 'Diligent' single-handed
