nicknamed 'EAO' by the locals. 1926.

He operated from a large shed in 'Two Ways' Lane just along from his cottage.

He lived in the block of three cottages where 'Kedge Cottage' is now.

He had a little motor truck and charged 6d to take you to Maldon. Teenagers used to club together to pay the fare but had to get and walk from the bottom of Market hill as it wouldn't carry them up.
