Was originally 'The Old
Ship' public house but re-named 'Myrtle Cottage' after Bill Stone
retired and moved away to Mersea, the licence was then transferred
to the building on the corner of Lock Hill which is the current
'The Old Ship'. Several of the later residents used the wooden
hut alongside for building small boats, the last being Stewart
Tolfrey. |
