Sam Purkiss General Stores.

 1895 - 1959.

 Also a Post Office from 1914 - 1959

  Sam Purkiss arrived in 1895 and opened a general store and post office. He and his son also operated a 'tally' round by horse and cart, and later by motor van. From 1959 until 1972 the shop continued trading as 'Pam’s Stores'.
